I'm writing my Licensing exam in September 2011. I am told that I will not get any intrim license. Actually, I have some chance to get hired at my preceptorship facility. Will I be able to work before my exam results come? Help pls.

Who told you that there would be no interim license? Doesn't sound right, and makes no sense.

You COULD work at the facility, but not as an LPN until you have your interim license or full license (and I mean in hand, not "it's coming"

I finished my program last fall and received my interim license upon completion of the LPN program. We did not write our licensing exam for 2 months but I was hired as a casual lpn with that interim license. Some places require full licensure , but that is not the always the case. Your interim license is good for 3 months from the date you write the exam. Good luck with the job prospect and your upcoming exam.

Actually, my college told me that people who are finishing their program in September 2011 and writing the national exam in Sept. 2011 will not get any interim License. On the other hand, students who opt to write the exam in Jan. 2012, will get the interim license.

Therefore, I was confused. Actually, I have a good chance of getting a casual position at my preceptorship site. Thats why I was asking that will I be able to work before I receive my exam results?
